On June 23rd it was confirmed by the WSDA that Rabbit Hemmorhagic Fever has been discovered at the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds & Event Center. We have a high population of feral domestic bunnies and in the last week many have died. This is a serious issue and the fairgrounds has been put under a quarantine order. We cannot allow any rabbits to be brought onto the property for at least 60 days. We also must double bag and throw away all carcasses.

What does this mean for the Fair? Please contact your 4H leader with questions and concerns, but as of now, there will not be bunnies on display at the fair in 2023.
